Bamboo fly rod building: Machining features on female micro ferrule
Here, the female tubing, with welt soldered on, has its features machined. The proportions used are similar to what Classic Sporting Enterprises use. These features are pleasing to the eye when viewed on the bamboo fly rod.
The last feature to be machined on the female is the 60 degree back-bevel at the mouth of the female micro ferrule.
